The Best LGBT-Inclusive TV Episodes of the Week: June 26-July 2

This week TV gave us Joseline Hernandez beautifully making lemonade out of the lemons of someone admitting to try to have sex with her husband(?), Deran Cody getting iced out by his mom, Audrey Jensen frantically jumping to conclusion, and more. Here are my choices for the best LGBT-inclusive TV episodes of the week.

10. Ray Donovan: “Girl with Guitar”

Ray Donovan premiered this week. Did Ray get sucked back into the world of being a fixer? You bet he did.

Best Moment: Lena knowing something was off when Ray asked how she’s feeling about he break up.

9. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta: “Episode 12”

This show is the gift that keeps on giving. The “Stevie J in no way had an unclaimed child” episode was followed up this week with “Stevie J isn’t even married to Joseline.” I hope the next reveal is that Stevie J never existed.

Best Moment: Joseline and Tommie’s argument over who would go down on who was incredible and I’ll never stop thinking about it.

8. The Fosters: “Safe”

This tense follow up to last week’s guns in schools episode once again managed to balance the scary situation everyone is in with each character’s personal issues.

Best Moment: Stef telling Brandon that being with Callie was wrong, that Callie was vulnerable and that he should’ve known that.

7. UnREAL: “Treason”

This show is pulling apart Rachel and Quinn’s beautiful friendship. In this one, Quinn tells Rachel how betrayed she feels by Rachel going to the president of the network.

Best Moment: The reveal of Jay filming Ruby and Darius.

6. The Last Ship: “Shanzhai”

The tension and stakes on this show increased even more this week when Mike Slattery was kidnapped by pirates.

Best Moment: Alisha finding out that Allison is on her side.

5. Containment: “A Time to be Born”

Things are really getting exciting on this show. This week Teresa gave birth while Lex started to put together evidence that Sabine orchestrated the outbreak.

Best Moment: Sam making a heart monitor out of a cup and a balloon.

4. Game of Thrones: “The Winds of Winter”

This sure was a non-payoff to Loras’ storyline, huh? That aside, this episode did have some good stuff, like Tyrion’s pep talk to Daenerys and of course Cersei taking the throne.

Best Moment: Yara and an army and dragons coming atcha.

3. Veep: “Inauguration”

This episode was a crushing defeat for Selina Meyer, who found herself saying, “I hate this country.”

Best Moment: Catherine telling Selina to do something with her hair.

2. Animal Kingdom: “Dead to Me”

This episode was all about Smurf’s distrust of her kids. She even told them they had to sleep in their own apartments instead of staying at her house, which was an effective punishment because I do not understand her sons at all.

Best Moment: The paintball game.

1. Scream: “Dawn of the Dead”

There was a lockdown at the school this week to create this extra tense episode. Brooke and Emma are falling apart and I have so many feelings about these poor kids.

Best Moment: Audrey’s instant regret at exposing Stavo
